Absolutely lovely. Quaint atmosphere, beautiful kominka house with gorgeous gardens that are very typical for the island. The chai was perhaps the best I’ve had all over Japan, the sandwich delicious too. Their shop has a great selection and the owner was very friendly, chatty and welcoming. Would love to come back to the island just to come back to this cafe!

On the remote island of Hachijo-jima in Tokyo, there is a hidden old house cafe. Drinking Hachijo-jima's botanical herbal tea in this mystical space nestled within botanical primeval forests is the best experience ever!

Very cute coffee shop in an ancient, perfectly renovated house. I wished the coffee was a bit more special.

You can enjoy cozy cafe break in the traditional japanese style house. I took a tea break at kotatsu(a table with futon and electronic heating system) als it has irori, japanese old-fashioned heater which using heating coal. If you're a foreigner, you should visit here as a good experience.

A very nice cafe in a traditional house with sweet and savory toast and bagels. They also have a English menu. The parking spot is quit hidden, but there is a map in front of the door. They also have a Hachijo Herbal Tea, that is very good!
